Jamie York, Pipe Major for the Port Hope and District Pipe Band, has accepted the position of Senior P/M for the tour in Scotland.  Jamie brings over 25 years of P/M experience to our group and will be a great asset to the band.

John Kirkwood, Drum Sergeant and Lead Tip for Hamilton Legion Pipes and Drums, has accepted the position of Drum Sergeant / Lead Tip.  John brings a wealth of experience with him and has filled this position on previous trips to Scotland.

James Smith, also with the Hamilton Legion Pipes and Drums, will act as Lead Bass responsible for the bass drum line.  This is a position that Jimmie is very familiar with, having performed this function on many Scotland trips.

The final position filled to date is that of Colour Party Commander.  David Galbraith, Petty Officer 1st Class RCN (Retired) has accepted the responsibilities of leading and organizing the colour Party.  Dave is also Past Colour Sergeant of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133 Cobourg.

The decision on the final position, that of Senior Drum Major, will be made by the Senior Pipe Major after consultation with the Drum Sgt the Lead Bass and the other P/M’s at a later date.

The Can-Am Jubilee Pipes and Drums are preparing a Tour of Scotland in 2012.  The tour is open to band members, their spouses & significant others, members of the colour party, and any supporters who wish to join us.

The tour will comprise 20/21 fabulous days, based in Edinburgh and staying at Pollock Halls, and will feature a fantastic 2-night, 3-day tour of the Highlands.  The trip will include The Edinburgh Tattoo and the World Championships in Glasgow.  See the itinerary for more details.

We have heard you loud and clear and there will be ample free time for you to plan your own excursions.  As well, we have addressed the issue with the drums and it has been resolved to our satisfaction - drummers will not pay extra for transport of their instruments.

See what's included in your package ... more details and prices will follow as soon as we have them.
